Is ther an option/ preference to move the pop up cordinate box permanantly away from the cursor? It seems without fail to pop up right in the spot i'm trying to move to.

Since there is NO way for the software to anticipate "...the spot i'm trying to move to" no matter where it would pop-up it would have an equal chance of being in the wrong place. However you can, for the action that you're currenting in, move you cursor over the pop-up entry widget, hold-down MB1 and drag the widget to some other location, where it will remain for at least the remainder of that operation.

And if you're running NX 7.5, pressing the 'F3' key should cause the pop-up entry widget to be hidden, pressing 'F3' a 2nd time will cause the entire dialog to be hidden and pressing it a 3rd time will cause both the pop-up entry widget and the dialog to reappear.

Also note that at least with respect to the larger QuickPick pop-up widget, starting with NX 8.0 there is an option in Preferences -> Selection... that if you move the QuuckPick widget to some screen location, it will always pop-up in that new location until you either unset the option or move the QuickPick widget to some other location.

It might be the way they have our settings since the "F" buttons don't work and whenever I move the box out of the way it immediately pops back the second I start moving things again.

You probably have a keyboard that disables the F keys with a F lock button (or something similar).

have you activated the i-deas f1-F4 keys?
UGII_FKEY_DYNAMICS=1
that it doesn't work - search in the nx log file.

If by chance you have set UGII_FKEY_DYNAMICS=1 you will just need to have your mouse focus outside the graphics window. Then the F-keys will work.
