I have a consultant that is requiring a dry system for an MRI room. Typically, we do wet pipe CPVC or Copper in MRI rooms. However, since this is a dry system, CPVC is out. Is there anything prohibiting Copper tubing in a dry system? Would I still use a C-150 for the calcs if it is permissible?

Thanks in advance for any help.

do not have the book, but I think it is allowed

I found the information. Thanks. It is allowed. You have to braze the copper and not solder. Other than that, no real problems.

I have just never encountered a dry pipe system using copper piping.

When you go to purchase the copper you'll know why.

But we do learn something new every day. Thanks.
