Is it possible to save as an NX file in TeamCenter to an existing file in Teamcenter?
For example I want to save
the NX file (drawing and everything else) in Teamcenter MM12345/3 To MM98765/4 in Teamcenter
(the main file is in Rev 3 and the copied file is an existing Teamcenter number in Rev 4)

It should be ,depending on your NX / TC Versions , and, if the Teamcenter is set up to allow this. ( the action is Save as xyz- something, blocked here.)
- but, it might be easier to cheat... :)

In Teamcenter, things are not what they appear at first glance,
I Assume that you have Items and Item revisions and under that you have "the files". ?
These "files" are "datasets" and not files, each contain multiple files and or meta data in some way.
You can ( hopefully) right-click the NX model dataset and see "Named References" ?
Select that and you should see several files and some other things such as preview etc , AND the actual NX file.

The cheat is that one can export and Import to these "Named references" . But, if you are about to replace one part in one dataset, keep a copy , and ,
try this method on some test files first..
Notice that to delete a file from a dataset,. you need to check it out first.

Thanks Toost, I know most of the ways to "cheat" in NX, but TeamCenter always throws me a curve.
