Hello all-

I was wondering if anyone has a method to make the keyboard shortcuts for the copy and paste functions work in a mapkey. I do not have the ability to use the menus (i.e. Edit>Copy) as I am trying to write a mapkey to copy and paste parameters in a repeat region on a drawing.

I am using Wildfire 4.0.

Thanks!

Question has your Forum Search yielded any results or did you not bother to do one. Please give that a shot if you haven't and please post the pinks you find if there are any. Forum searching used to be buggy but a Google Search unlike many of google's apps actually works quite well. Welcome to the forum please read my post and before next post search the current threads beforehand

I'm happy to answer any and all question but please use the
ETipsSearch Search

Use [Pause] and request User's Help in "Pause Message" hitting the ^c and ^v more effective and much easier than trying to teach Pro/E to do a rather simple operation.
"^" is the symbol used by Mac and many Programers for CTRL
^c = CTRL+c (copy)
The following uae work if added to your confign but the best way to learn is by doing it for yourself.

mapkey nd || @MAPKEY_LABEL[Create new drawing w/ same name;~ Select `main_dlg_cur` `MenuBar1`1 `File`;~ Activate `main_dlg_cur` `File.psh_rename`;@MANUAL_PAUSE>>Please Copy name and hit resume;~ Activate `rename` `Cancel`;~ Command `ProCmdModelNew` ;~ Select `new` `Type`1 `Drawing`;@MANUAL_PAUSE "Please paste the name you copied in previous step.\nThen fill in the Common_Name: Parameter "You can use spaces or "_" 4Nm \;);

Right now while answering a question of this ilk

To answer your question, yes I did bother to do a search before I asked the question. I didn't find any good results so I posted the question to see if anyone had any better information.

Here's my original Forum Response regarding this or you can click my user name and see all the posts I've Responded to.

Mapkeys as far as I know ProE Creo cannot record the Control Copy Paste commands but with the pause added in you can ask user to click cell to copy and manually do those operations.
