Hi All,

When I revise the drawing and updated views, Symbolic threads going off...from my admin found that the issue is with Wave link body. When I checked wave link body dialog box (Edit parameters) I found that in settings there is an option called "copy threads". I did turn it on and updated the drawing... threads are showing now.

Questions:
1. symbolic threads are done in machining file after we wave link the body, how is wave link body is related to threads???
2. I did not see this option before, In which version this option was inculded? we recently shifted from NX7.5 to NX8

Thanks in Advance
Srikanth

There is no problem adding features to a WAVE-linked body.

As for when this option to copy threads was added, it was in NX 8.0 and includes 'Linked-Bodies', 'Extracted-Bodies', 'Instanced-Bodies' and 'Mirrored-Bodies'.

I doubt that you would have seen the thread on a wave linked body before NX8.
I wrote an ER on this since the machining guys could not see on their linked bodies if holes should be threaded or not. Neither would it be visible on a drawing of the linked body.

Tomas
