Hi,
The piping material is duplex steel however nuts, bolts & washers are in stainless steel 304 or 316 grade. Is there any chance of galvanic or any other corrosion between duplex steel flanges & stainless steel nut bolts?
Thanks for reply

Leakage should also be considered. Depending on fluid if a leak develops, even a miniscule one, it can lead to stress corrosion cracking of the fasteners which can result it catastrophic failure of the connection. Is this risk tolerable?

Hi

What is the Duplex steel type ? Chemical composition ?
What is the service ?
Project conditions ?
Why is that you are using bolts & washers are in stainless steel 304 or 316 grade and not other type of materials ?

Either use matching duplex fasteners or use fluoropolymer coated steel fasteners.
