Hi,

I was wondering if anyone on here can help me. I'm looking for corrosion data for Alloy 718, AM 350, Alloy 42 and 316 SS, when exposed to different fluids (e.g. Acetic acid, Acetyl Chloride, Acetone etc). I've tried my trusty NACE Corrosion Survey Database, but these metals aren't in it. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I might find the data?

many thanks

They are different animals.
Alloy 42, if you are meaning Fe-42Ni, it is not even considered to be corrosion resistant. it will rust at humid environments even at room tempreature.
718 is a superally (high temp alloy)
Am350 is precipitate hardenable, general corrosion resistance is similar to 316
316 cannot be hardened by heat treatment.

Or the Compass corrosion guide.
Concentration, impurities, and temperature will be critical.
Though some of these, such as acetone will not effect any of these metals.
