We have a spray nozzle that requires replacement on a routine basis. Usually after taking out the assembly we wash it to remove residual acids that are contained on the corrosion film.
I’d like to have the corroded section sent out to a corrosion laboratory but the idea of wrapping an uncleaned nozzle tip in a polybag and sending it over presents issues legally and on how the mechanisms may present as corrosion continues.
Is there a standard for shipping requirements specific to the US and are there any vendors that provide rental units - cryogenic or as best practice dictates - that would enable us to ship out this nozzle tip to our corrosion lab without having to be concerned about atmospheric corrosion with the corrosion film still on it?
