I am trying to find a cost difference for 1/O EPR cable from 2006 as compared to today. Anyone have/know the cost difference?

I know copper has went up significantly, but I am unsure as to how much in that time. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have asked a vendor, but no reply yet.

Wire price pretty much follows copper price, but with a bit of a lag. So if you look at this 2 year trend (blue line), it appears to not have changed much, maybe 6%?

But if you look at a 3 year trend, which is when the copper that became cable in 2006 was probably bought, it is a lot worse.

Looks like 54% there.

15kV 1/0 str AL EPR w/ full neutral has doubled in the US in the last 2.5 years.

jraef, I think your graph shows more like a 115% increase, which would be right around what apowerengr says.

Derrr derr derr, my math skills suck today...

Numerator... denominator... I get so confused.

jraef - I always say that good engineers "can take the derivative of their dog", but can't do basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) when I make those mistakes.

Also the "Derrr derr derr, my math skills suck today..." made me laugh first thing this morning so thank you!
