Course on "Gas Turbine Governor Software"

I am searching for a training on "Gas Turbine Governor Software". I am looking for a course of training on how to understand the governor software and then how to write one.

Thanks for your quick response. The turbine size around 10M, and for the type of control I am looking for is when you replace the old hydrolic governor with new gas valve (i.e. Woodward or Precision), then you have to build a software and put it in a PLC to control the new valve, for that type of training I am looking for.
The application is for turbine-pump (water or oil) & turbine-generator.

My turbine experience is limited and usually to smaller sizes, up to about 2 MW, that being said most units I end up seeing have a "smart" gas valve and the PLC command is essentially for a desired fuel flow. Based on what I've seen these logic for these type systems isn't really all that complex, but does seem to require a good bit of time on site to get it all working properly.

What type of training you actually need I guess would also depend on your overall experience. Would you say you are VERY familiar with the concepts of engine governing and load control? If not you may want to consider some of the "basic" type courses Woodward offers. I seem to pretty regularly run into controls engineers who are excellent programmers but struggle with the concepts of the actual operation of a prime mover, its dynamic response and what factors beyond changing the fuel valve position affect that response.

I don't anything about Precision, but my long term experience with Woodward has been pretty good, just lately sometimes hard to find the right guy with the experience needed to have a discussion. Since they provide products for the retrofit you're trying to perform they may have the info you need, but maybe not a dedicated class for it. I don't know your situation, but I would consider taking a class close to what you are looking for, and ask the instructor if he can point you towards someone in the organization who can be of further help to you.

I can occasionally go back to Woodward and other vendors for classes not so much as I can't figure out how to make a control or device work, but to get a chance to talk with people who do it all the time and build a relationship that will likely be helpful in the future.
