I have data for one of the coating material, expressing VOC content in g/g. I wanted to convert this unit into g/L. I have density information for this paint as well in g/cm3.
Can someone guide me about this conversion?
VOC in g/L = (X g/g)*( Y g/cm3)
= (X g/g)*( Y g/0.001L)
= XY * 1000 * g/L

X = VOC in g/g or in %
Y = Density

Am i doing the right conversion?

This is a simple unit conversion. Look at your equation. When you do the calculation, do the right units cancel out, and are the resulting final units what you are looking for? Don't overthink this.
