Being in a remote location most of the CPD hours I do are online. I have completed a number thru ASCE, ACI, and PCI, but I would like to find some Canadian options that are more relevant to our code. Anybody have some suggestions? Traveling to Vancouver is wonderful, but $3k+ per is not always practical.

What do you want that's Canada specific? Honestly my best CPD has come from AISC, CRSI, and then this forum (not necessarily in that order, and almost never in a formal class setting). If you're just ticking the boxes for CPD then what you've described sounds good, but if you have questions specific to CSA or NBC (BCBC?) you should ask away and someone might be able to point at a relevant course.

I did some looking online and did not find a great deal of options in Canada, so I thought I would ask here and see if I missed some. I like the courses I have found in the US, but it would be nice to find more that involve CSA codes. I completed an PCI course on the design of precast diaphragms without toppings not long ago, and 95% of the course was about applying IBC or ASCE load cases and that is not of much interest. The CPCI has had some courses as well, but so far those have mainly involved reading the CPCI changes to me. The CISC has developed some good online learning options that I plan to try in the next months. This one ( from the APEGBC would have been nice, but that will be almost $8k by the time I did both parts.

I find the research in journal articles and new textbooks offer the best learning. Following that lectures from industry leaders in conferences are sometimes posted online.

Thank to all that offered advice. I was not aware that The SEABC courses could be completed via webcast.
