Crack in BM - 316/316L

All,

Weld joint between elbow to pipe (8" Sch 40S).
Material - 316/316L
Filler Metal used - ER316/316L
One half of the weld was welded during the night shift and the other half was supposed to be started today morning. But when the welder started welding on that, he said it welded like Aluminum and when he stopped found a crack beginning from the end point. There are 2 pictures. One is when he stopped and is after grinding the base metal bevel off
PMI looks Ok.

What are your thoughts on the crack?

Solidification crack or lack of fusion defect.
 
Possible centerline lamination. Rare in SS but I have seen it before.
 
@Don56: You mean as in lamellar tearing in through thickness?

It could be lamellar tearing or lamination due to an inclusion.
