Create block text

Hi,

Does anyone know how to create blocked text in I-deas 5m3, I need to create for engraving on part.

To get all of the true type Fonts into I-Deas you need to add the following to your param file

UseNTTrueTypeFonts: 1

Then under you line stack or type (!!cr spe ft) in master modeler there is a command called wireframe fonts. You can type and choose your font from here. Once you put it on your screen the text becomes curves and you can not edit the text. YOu can scale it and move it. To make a text edit you will have to retype the text and scale and move it. This is how it works in I-deas NX 12. After you place your text make a section of the curves. Makes selecting it a lot easier.
