I came across this old thread and wanted to update it in case anyone still needs a solution for this issue. InspectionXpert has software that will auto balloon a CATIA V5 model and export the dimensional data to an inspection report. This literally saves hours of time each time a First Article or In Process Inspection report needs to be created from a part model. You can try the software for free at this link:
