I have a ProE solid of a block with oil passages drilled in it. Is there a way I can convert the block model to a solid composed of the passage only (the annular and cylindrical flow paths -- or 'negative' volume). This is what is required for the CFD program I am using.

Use the cutout command it's under edit / component operations - cutout.
Make an assembly of your part and another part that is the full block without the oil passages and creat the cutout, perform the cutout process to the new block and use your part as reference.

Hope this helps.

Use Seed and Boundary selection to select all internal surfaces, terminating at surfaces where they exit. Then Publish Geom that into another 'CFD' part. This will stay up to date too if the model changes (providing reference geom doesn't disappear)
