Hello all,
I know you can create a new subassembly by selecting parts in the assembly tree and then doing a RMB on the last selected item and then going to form new subassembly here. Is there some way to do this by selecting the items in the assembly instead of the the assembly tree. This would be MUCH easier.

Thanks

BodyBagger,

I still am on SW2007 here. Is there any way to click on something and get the sub-assembly rather than the part?

If not, you are clicking on the assembly tree.

The assembly tree works fine for me. If your file naming is not intelligent, try sticking your items in folders, and then name the folders.

AFAIK, a new sub-assy cannot be created from within the graphics area.

FYI, the last selected item (in the FM) does not have to be the one RMB'd. Any one of the selected items can RMB'd.

CBL, if I RMB on anyone other than the last one, then they all deactivate (no longer highlighted) except for the one I RMB on.
