Create sub assembly from parts in main assembly?

Hi all,

I've got a assembly with quite a few parts in it, and I want to combine some of the parts into a new sub-assembly. I can do this on SolidWorks, but not too sure how to do it on Inventor. Any help would be great.

I'm using Inventor 2012.

Ctrl select the components.
Right click and select Component>Demote and follow the on-screen Prompts.

if you select the parts you wish to Demote followed by Tab, Inventor will open the an assembly window.

btw i made a recent switch from SW to Inventor ( for work reasons, and altough at first i was not convinced, i have come to really appreciate Inventor.
