Hi All,

Does anyone out there know how you go about creating 3D text for an engraving application? Any tips are much appreciated.

Thanks

Recommended for you

Create the text on a drawing, use a font with body
Save the drawing as dxf
Open the dxf drawing and copy the text lines
Paste those lines into a sketch

Now you can use the sketch to engrave the model with a pocket

Thixoguy - go into drafting, choose SSS1 - SSS4 font type (Catia V4 stroke fonts). Iges them out as .ig2, in windows change the extention from .ig2 to .igs
Load the .igs

Regards,
Derek
