Creating a cross section

I am new to Microstation after using autocad for the past 10 years, pro engineer, and solidworks. I don't know how to create cross sections. It is not very intuitive to me. In autocad it was easy. Can anyone help me or direct me as to where to get information. Thanks.

you need to work in 3d as you used to in solid works and from the 3d tools you can create cross sections..that is if your talking about sections through solids like in mechanical drafting but if you mean civil, like profiles of roadways etc then use the microstation addon called Inroads or worse use MX ....
