Creating a table in a drawing listing dimensions of part families

I have created a part family of a CAD model and also a drawing of that CAD model. However, on the drawing I need to add a table to show some of the dimensions for the part family. Is it possible to automatically populate a table in the drawing with the part family information.

Yes, Notes can be linked to either value of an expression or an attribute, both of which can be present in a part family. Open the full annotation editor (Edit Text) and look for the tab labeled 'Relationships'.

John,
I found that you can add a tabular note, then select a cell a right click. Select Import->Spreadsheet. On the Import Spreadsheet dialogue, specify a Family Table for Spreadsheet and then select the cells. This seems to be the proper way to add a table to a drawing that list info from a part family. However, I can not get it to work for my situation and it is because I am using the master modeling approach to create a drawing. In the import Spreadsheet dialogue, the only part file selected is the master model (obviously), but all the variables for the part family are associated with the part file. Any thoughts.

What version of NX are you running? I just checked NX 5 and I have no problems getting to the Part Family expressions, even working in a master model drawing, using the Tabulated Note spreadsheet function.

I am using NX 5.0.0.25, though I am going to update to maintenance pack 4 later today.
My procedure is as follows:
Open Master model file in drafting.
Insert a tabular note.
Select 1st cell in table.
Right Click, Import->Spreadsheet.
In the import spreadsheet dialogue, it only lists the master model file in Part File.
Select Family Table for Spreadsheet.
Uncheck Include Entire Sheet.
Excel does not pop up to allow me to select the cells I want to publish and the OK or Apply buttons are not active.

I will create a new part and master model and try again as an experiment.

I was selecting the entire tabular note and using the 'Edit using Spreadsheet' option and when Excel comes up, I selected Tools -> Import UG Expressions and the dialog would then allow you to either select the current file or the component (master) file.

John, tried your technique and it worked except that it only imports the current dimensions of the model, not the list of part family dimensions.

John, I created an IR as well prior to reading your last post. GTAC called me back and said that they knew of the problem and would add my complaint to their list for ER. As a temp solution they said I could copy the table from the part family and paste it into a new spreadsheet within the master model. Not associative but gets me the result in the interim.
