CREATING A TABLE IN AN ASSEMBLY

I WAS WONDERING IF THERE IS A WAY TO CREATE A DESIGN TABLE IN AN ASSEMBLY

I HAVE AN EXCEL SPREADSHEET WHICH I AM TRYING TO LINK TO AN ASSEMBLY. THE SPREAD SHEET HAS FIELDS WHICH WILL MODIFY THE PART OF THE ASSEMBLY. I NOT SURE IF YOU CAN HAVE A TABLE IN AN ASSEMBLY WHICH CAN MODIFY FIELDS FROM DIFFERNT PARTS. IF SO PLEASE HELP

As far as I know, controlling the individual parts in an assembly with a design table is not possible outside of suppressing and unsuppressing the components. You would have to create configurations within the parts and then change the "Component Properties" for the individual parts in the assembly. If you need more help let me know.
 
A DT can be used to control a layout sketch in an assembly.
If parts are created in-context to the layout sketch, features in those parts will be affected.
