I am trying to create an "assembly" between a Design Modeler geometric component and a geometry being created in ANSYS classic. A colleague of mine has created a portion of the overall geometry in ANSYS Classic.

Since I am more comfortable creating the component in ANSYS Design Modeler, I was wondering if there is an easy way to attach the component I create in DM into the assembly in Classic?

My initial thought was some sort of input file?

Dear smyth13
This can be done with exporting IGES or an ANF file from DM.

Thanks. I figured that out on my own. I actually sent out this question before I even tried it myself, under the assumption that it would be more difficult than it actually was.

It was surprisingly easy to do!
