Hello

I am very new to KF. I would like to create rule in KF in such a way that some action should be done in the geometry when rule is not passed.

For Example: if parameter X>10 then Length of block should be changed to 100. If x<10 then i need to display an informative window in NX session.

How can i make this kind of Rule in KF.

Please help me.

Hello John,

I am using NX 7.5 and 64bit

Thanks and Regards

OK, doing the if X>10 some other value is 100 is easy in the expression system using and 'IF' function. And as for the getting some sort of notice if it less than 10, have you looked at 'Requirements'? They can be set from within the Expression dialog where you can generate different levels of warnings based on setting up some logical item to check, such as an expression being less than some value. To see to use this open the Expression dialog, create some expression you want to hang a requirement on and then select the icon along the bottom of the dialog that looks like a green triangle with a yellow check-mark next to it. If you open the 'New Requirement' dialog, simply press the 'F1' key and you will get the help file which explains how to use the 'Requirement' function. If this works for you, it sure beats having to write code.
