Hello everyone!

I Have a small problem if anybody can help me. I'm designing an assembly work station in Creo 4.0 and i would like to show the position of a product in a two different states. I can use simp rep to show and hide different products, but I can't use it to show same product in a different position.

To clarify even further. To assembly a product I first put it in fixture, assemble the top part and then turn it around and assemble another part. I would like to first show the part in first position, and then with a mouse click show the part in second position. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Dejan

Not with a single mouse click that I recall. The original method is to create a family table, but that seems a bit too much for this application.

They had introduced the idea that a component could have several constraint sets and allow selecting from them. You could have one set for it in one position and another set for it in another position and redefine the placement and select the set you wanted to use. This method wasn't working back when I last used a version of Creo, but maybe it does now

It is more in keeping with the parametric way to create a new assembly for each basic assembly step - that is, whenever the part is removed from one fixture and placed again, even if it's a different orientation on the same fixture, to better capture and isolate the individual handling steps to represent factory workflow.
