Can anyone jog my memory about a system of small bore pipe fittings that I encountered several years ago. The system consisted of fittings with socket ends with an internal fluid o-ring and an external environmental o-ring. Between the o-rings, the bore of the fittings had serrated ridges to assist grip. After the pipe end was cut and inserted into the socket, a hydraulic jaw would be activated around the socket, crushing the serrations into the pipe end. The system was lauded on the basis that no hot work was required during installation. I cannot recall if these fittings were available for tube sizes. I recall the manufacturer being something like Deutscher, but I can't get a relevant Google hit on that name - perhaps it has been taken over and re-branded?
