Is there a specific procedure for checking "crushing" of composite metal deck? This would occur where the deck passes over the supporting member and directly over the member sits a wall inducing a large line load. The metal deck and slab are essentially sandwiched between the bottom of the heavily loaded wall and the top flange of the steel beam. Anyone encounter this before? In plan, the heavily loaded wall and the steel beam both have centerlines that coincide.
