I have been helped enourmously from previous thread based around this problem.
Basically, I have moved from a pan head taptite to a C'sk taptite to bolt a steel member to an Aluminium casting ( blind hole). I have a critical customer complaint now because the only "off the shelf" C'sk tatptite I could get was a lower grade material i.e similar to 8.8 but case hardened. Previous pan head was a grade 10.9. I know I could get a higher grade, but would need to wait a long time and have a minimum order quantity. That is unless anyone out there, knows of anyone supplying 10.9 C'sk tatptites ( size I require is M8 X 30).
