Hi all,
i am working on a contact analysis and i would like to see the slippage between the two surfaces
i have requested the CDISP output in the analysis and i am getting CSLIP1 and CSLIP2 as results.
i want know the difference between CSLIP, CSLIP1, CSLIP2 and CSLIP is not available in the results file when i check in Hyperview
Please tell me what is CSLIP and is it the resultant vector of CSLIP1 and CSLIP2? How to get the CSLIP contur in Hyperview

Recommended for you

CSLIP stands for relative tangential motion. Its components CLSIP1 and CSLIP2 are calculated in tangent directions that can be visualized using the CTANDIR output variable.

thankyou for the reply.. But is CTANDIR output variable abailable in abaqus?
Can we extract the total slip form CSLIP1 and CSLIP2

CTANDIR is not available by default, it has to be added to field output requests before running the analysis.

You can use the Tools --> Field Output --> Create From Fields feature to perform mathematical operations on field outputs (for example add one to another).

Tools in which application Abaqus CAE or Hypermesh or Hyperview

I was talking about Abaqus/CAE (or Viewer). I don't use the other mentioned tools.
