I want to create a pattern within an assembly which is driven by a curve sketched in the assembly.

The only assembly patterns available seem to be mirror/circular or linear.

You're going to have to cheat a bit. Curve Driven Patterns aren't available in assemblies. You can do a feature driven pattern. If you save your curve with a feature to drive the part pattern as a separate part and then insert it into your assembly, you should be able to get where you need to go.

Thanks Dan.

I've thought about doing it that way, I was just hoping to cut down on the external references.

I've ended up inserting components seperately and using the mate-to-path tool. I've got the desired results :)

I was just shocked that there isn't a pattern-to-curve feature available in solidworks yet.

Cheers
