I'm designing a line of equipment for my company, trying to make it more competitive.

One vendor has a line of extruded aluminum profiles and corners that they market for use in building the enclosures for HVAC systems. I've looked around and found a couple of manufacturers who use them.

Does anyone have any experience with something like this i.e. a quick-assembly frame system with offsets for drop-in panels?

I want to know how well they work, if there are any problems, if they are worth the extra cost, etc.

Thanks,

Geof.

I have been using these AHUs for past 7 years and we only recommend them now a days. There are no transportation problems and assembly at site is also easy. Savier, Italy is one of the good manufacturers.

The panels are generally powder quoted and if kept in open atmosphere, the surface becomes lousy.

Use Thermal Breaks with corner sections otherwise condensation will be a problem.
