Hello,

So far my company have been using PETG or PVC for small 30ml containers weighting around 5grams. Since PET is twice cheaper i would like to see is there a way to design custom preform for WC FRESH liquid container product?
Could the attached file be produced out of some special designed preform?

Thank you for the responses,

Best regards,

Mile

Filling those acute sharp edges will be a challenge.
Maybe a preform that looks like a mitten with a fat thumb...

It would be much easier if the neck were closer to the 'toe'; then an extrusion blow molder might be able to do it, if he could get the parison to curve a bit like a banana.

The molder who can do it will get an award from his trade association.
You'll never be happy with the parts or the price.

I have to agree with Mike, that horizontal top edge projecting so far from the cap has got to be the most difficult blow moulding job I ever saw.

I will send it to a colleague who specializes in PET cosmetic and personal care preforms for comment if you like, but he will probably tell me to go away and place the drawing where the sun don't shine.

I would have thought the same.
But we cant move boundaries if we don't try foolish things :))
JOHNSON company makes small liquid wc fresh containers out of 8g preform but it is 100% symmetrical so its not an issue.

Thing why we are pushing this shape is because it is approved bu all structures here at the company so i want to keep it in the same/similar shape.

Well play a bit with the preform design and see what will occur but i must agree that sharp corners required will be almost impossible with stretch bm.

Thank you guys i appreciate all the input.

Best regards,

Mile
