Hi,
I'm trying to find a company that can do custom stainless steel extrusions. Extrusion will be roughly 300mm x 300mm, and needs to be capable of being produced up to 7 or 8 metres long. In x-section, its roughly a hollow square with another hollow rectangle inside.
Is such a thing possible do you think? If so, any ideas where I could find a company? (- worldwide, location unimportant)
Thanks,
FP

That is a large extrusion in any material. I think you will have to fabricate it form smaller components with the possibility that you might find a combination of structural components that will fit the the bill.

You might check with Siderval about their capabilities. Since they are European base they might have knowledge of other companies with the capabilities you need.

I'll check and see if Plymouth Tube at Hopkinsville KY can do this size.

I was thinking of doing it in sections.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the replies. Yes, I appreciate that its a large section, currently we fabricate the section from a number
of forms welded together, but the thought was that we could
shorten our lead times if we could get the whole thing extruded in one go.
Wishful thinking maybe...!?

Hi again guys,
Looking at it, I could probably get the main part down to 170mm x 240mm...maybe this would help my cause..?
Thanks,
FP
