Hello,

I need to submit a 2D drawing only to one of our customers. They do not want the 3D data. How can I remove the associativity to the 3D data in order to meet their needs?

Thanks

Thanks for the help, Jim. The only problem is that the ISOLATE button is grayed out. When I go to EDIT-LINKS, the only button available is REPLACE. Can you offer any more suggestions?

You must select a view (or views), and then ISOLATE will work. I usually select them via the spec tree.

Depending on what your customers wants, You don't really have to remove the associativity...:

If they are sent the CATDrawing without the CATProducts & CATParts, they will have the drawing, and all the views will show broken link.

If they just want to work off of 2D drawing, save it as a PDF file and send them that. If they would like to have geometry to work to, save it as a DXF or 2d IGES.

This way your links and update ability are still present, and the customer gets what they want in a smaller sized file.
