Is it possible to add extra scales to the scale pull down list when creating a new sheet or creating a new view?

i.e

1:1
1:2
1:2.5
1:5
1:10
1:12.5
1:15
1:20
1:25

Well view scale display is an option that you can set per view as you will normally find it used in detail views. There should be a setting under view styles where you just need to tick on the scale label. This may vary a bit from one version to the next but just in how the dialogs are set out. The functionality has been about for several versions.

When using drawing formats the traditional scale label in the title block is most easily added as an attribute using a text string that can very easily be edited. Still somewhat manual but gets the job done with quite minimal effort. What you then do is to add a note in your template file that uses that attribute. I'll assume for the monent that you're on a later version of UG and refer you to the samples as shipped to discover how it is done if you don't already know. By all means ask if stuck.

As a footnote it is surprising that this sort of thing is often asked. If I could offer a little advice it would be that because NX supports a reasonable amount of automation it is alway valid to ask, but don't bang you're head against a brick wall if the ideal solution isn't forthcomming. The truth of it is that what I've explained is a comparable method that really doesn't take so long as to justify your spending ages trying to develop a customisation that only saves one or two keystrokes.

I agree with Hudson.
The scales you want aren't available "out of the box" because NX has alway tried to base the software on accepted industry standards, thus the standard scales.

I like to set the scale at the sheet level since I'm typically using it to scale down all views to fit on paper, and setting at the sheet level allows me to use automated text in the title block (less error prone).

I just hit custom, and instead of the drop down list you can enter any numbers you want. I dont know what version your using, maybe this is a new feature?

I think the request was to ADD additional 'non-standard' view scales to the built-in list of available pre-defined values, which we do not support, but as was just noted, you can always enter any particular value for a view scale that you wish, but it will only change the current drawing and will not be automatically added as a new optional value.

Yes you’re right John I was hoping to ADD additional 'non-standard' view scales. No big issue though just a small tweak I was wondering if was possible, it's no real problem to type in the desired view scale rather than select from a pull down list.

Although it would be nice to set a list of 'company' standard view scales and disable the manual view scale entry so a ridiculous scale of say 1:33.3 can not be used.

For reference I'm using NX6.0.1.5
