Hello Everyone,

Is it possible to customise thread call-out in UG? Is it possible to control thread call out using expressions?

Thanks in advance.

What version of NX are you running and when you say "control", exactly what do you mean?

Hello John,

Actually what I want is to know is it possible to link shaft diameter and thread call out so that as my shaft diameter changes automatically my thread call out has to change (Threads are of standard sizes).

Thanks in advance.

You're talking 'Male' threads, correct? And when you say call-out, you're talking about what you would see as annotation on the Drawing, correct? If so, can you provide at least a picture/sketch of what you would want this 'call-out' to look like?

Hello John,

I just wanted to know is there a possibility of linking shaft diameter with thread call-out. For eg. My shaft diameter is say 0.25 so my thread call out would be "1/4-20". Now I change my shaft diameter to 0.3125 and now I want my thread callout to be "5/16-18". Is it possible to do this using expressions or do I need to it manually each time.

Thanks in advance.

You certainly could create a note where the contents included 'text' associated to an expression or attribute.
