Hello, I would like to obtain or create a liquid of known density and absolute viscosity (~40 cP) for testing purposes. Can anyone suggest an aqueous solution and supplier so that I can customize the kinematic viscosity? Thank you.

Try this link as a start.
Many of the laboratory viscometer companies supply test fluids as they are essential for checking the visometers.
Other suppliers are Dow Corning.
However, a web search for calibration fluids ought to turn up a few suppliers.

A water solution containing 80% w/w glycerol at 25 deg C has a density of 1,280.5 g/L, and an absolute viscosity of 45.72 cP.

100% glycerol at 75 deg C has a viscosity of 39.8 cP.

These data may help you when in a hurry.
