I'm trying to make a cutaway isometric drawing similar to the one attached in this post. Any help would be great. Thanks! (currently using CATIA V5 R16)

Doesn't look like a cutaway at all, but If you want to do it on a drawing try using overlaod properties to control how the different part should be presented in the view. Otherwise do it in 3D playing opacity on the parts, then you will get something that is more according to the picture you uploaded
