Hello,

I am looking for any info on cutting 0.125" acrylic with a thin laminite coating. I have a mazak SG48 4K. Have never tried cutting acrylic before, so I have no idea where to start. Thanks for any help!

Doesn't Mazak have applications engineers for this sort of question?

Well for starters you'll need to preset your z gap due to the fact the non contact will not reconize the material. You may wish to score the laminate prior to processing the job.

You can try using 600 watt/500 freq/100 duty. This is a medium setting set by Mazak. For the most part you will need to simply do some test cutting to figure out what works best for your machine.
