Hi, i'm having some trouble getting cutting conditions right for an AMADA LC 3015 X1 NT. wWe normally use cold rolled stainless but just got some hot rolled in. My normal cold rolled settings will not cut. Settings i use for CR are pwr 4000, frq 1500, duty 99, feed 4200, gas pressure 9 bar (high pressure nitrogen), focus -4mm, noz gap 0.5mm, and using 2mm noz. what can i do to improve the cut quality? I'm stll getting HARD dross on the back of cut. (like a saw blade).
Thanks for any advice or help forthcoming.

hi nathan

Before please check surface of your lens : clean as possible!

You can start by moving the focus point between f -1mm to f-2mm.
try also to increased step by step the pressure I think not more than 12bar
finally reduce speed 200 by 200mm

I take it this is the Mitsubishi machine with a 40 CFX Resonator being sold by Amada under their name.

Typically I would set the focus beginning at 1/2 to 2/3 into the material thickness. The dross that you are now getting is a product of having your focus too negative, in fact, it is beyond the material thickness.

Do what the Pooh says and you will see the results without having to slow down any.

Good luck
