Hi all,
Just bit the bullet and upgraded to ST4 (from ST2). Now just performing the 'tweaks'.
Question - When you creat a cutting plane, you can select the cutting plane line and go into its properties - in the general tab, the lower window 'display' shows the 'Style' the default is Thick, how do I change this default to Thick/Thin, to stop me having to change it manually all the time.

Any help would be gratefullt received.

I believe you need to change it in your draft template file.

you need to open the template draft file.
It is saved on your"c" drive.
look in program files, solid edge st4, template.
Open the draft template file that you use when creating new draft documents.
Then, create a view with a section line.
edit the section line settings as you want them to be.
save the draft template.
delete the view, and re-save the document.
Close the document.

Now create a new draft file and see if the change was saved.

The other place I would try to make the change would be in styles.
Same deal here, edit the template file, but go into styles, and select line as the style type.
select cutting plane from the list, and click modify.
set the line weight to your preference, and click apply.
save the template file.

It's wierd, that linetpye is not specified, as it starts and ends with thicker dashes. Starting to think it's not possible.
