This is a simple question that everyone can answer. How fast, generally, do you guys cut 16 GA CRS. We have been doing a major move and we are just setting up our laser again. We wanted to find our how fast our machine should be running. That way we can figure out what we can optimize on it. So if anybody has any general cutting speeds they would like to share it would be appreciated. Any standard HR or CR steel is the best to start with. Thanks!!

A well tuned 4kW FO 3015 should be able to cut 16 CRS over 200"/min easily on nitrogen. Oxygen will be slower.

I have a really old spec sheet from Amada that shows:

260"/min feedrate, 3500W, 2000Hz, 100 duty, gas 0.90, nitrogen, .020" nozzle gap, focus -.039"
