Damage calculation of torsional fatigue for a cardan shaft

Hi all,

I need to calculate the damage from a measured torque acting upon a shaft. The shaft is installed on a vehicle. May I use the time at level for getting the load spectra which I use to calculate the damage? n

I don't understand what you mean by "time at level".

He is talking about level crossing as applied to duty cycle life analysis. There are a number of ways to analyze this, do some research and purchase a good reference book/technical paper.
