Data Translation in V5R8

I opened a parasolid (x_t) file in Catia V5R8, but there's notning come out!? Even I tried with a simple block but it's also invain. Does anyone can help me in this matter?
Somemore when I use a step and iges format file to open in Catia there's a broken surface came out even the file is a water tight surface! What's setting should I follow to get rid of these problems?

Hi,
in tools/options, and under mechanical there is a section that deals with the setup of importing and exporting files. There will be a setting for tolerance of connecting surfaces when imported. also a couple of other settings you might want to see!. My suggestion is to play with these setting s until problem is resolved. I hope this helped and good luck!
