David (Staff) for Tech side membership

Although David has supreme power over the site, he has always been aware that he is not an engineer.
David could easily declare himself a member of this forum but he has not, out of respect for engineers.
I would welcome David in this forum.
With the teaching and mentoring that so many of our members regularly do, I don't see a problem with David participating here.
Do we have enough yes votes to welcome David to this forum?

I see that this Forum has been renamed. Are all Tech Side forum members also in the RT? Should this forum now be grouped with the other forums in the Engineering Forums by Industry section?

Yes... Back in the hoary past, this forum was created to host any discussions that started in the RT but veered into the technical or other areas. Due to the nature of starting in the RT, they couldn't really go to the general Pub(lic) areas. However, the original name didn't particularly make it clear that the membership was solely RT folks. Engineer memories being what they are, someone recently referred a non-RT member to post their musings here. Thus a discussion in the RT that led to the naming being clarified.

As far as where the dang thing is grouped, I'm not sure why the RT is in Forums By Industry anyway....

The entire "by industry" by "groups" thing is so messed up as to be worse than useless anyway. It should all be one flat space that's alphabetically organized.
