Dear All

I am interested in to know about a simple, cheap and good method to convert DC in AC the frequency coul be in a range from 40 to 65 Hz

Thanks for the inputs

Hi petronilla,

What voltage? What power level or current?

Thanks,

Goober Dave

Hello Dave
The objective of the system is to convert 600V DC into AC (3~). The power will be 3 Kw.

Thanks

Carlos

Standard VFDs usually can do this. Some may have three-phase supervision that doesn't allow direct coupling of DC to the DC link. Others can be parametrized for that.

Expect that with a 600VDC input, the max output voltage from a VFD will be 400VAC.

As Skogsgura said, many VFDs will do this. Technically they all theoretically are capable but because of differences in where the VFD attains it's control power, some will not function if the AC input is not present. So just check with different manufacturers to be sure by telling them exactly what you plan to do.
