Hi,

Does anyone have any good references / tips to convert super heavy (63kg) dynamic probe data into approximate CBR % values?

I do have some correlation charts to get from 'standard' DCP (8kg) to CBR, so alternatively a correlation between DPSH and DCP would be great (as I could convert from DPSH to DCP and then subsequently onto CBR).

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

James

Canadian? There used to be a correlation of the Pentest to the SPT. - you will be doing far too much correlations and all that they are fraught with . . . and then what? What is the purpose of your CBR requirements?

Hi BigH,

Thanks for your reply. Not Canadian - UK.

I've seen the pentest correlation chart vs. SPT data, but wanted to see if there were any direct conversions or correlations from DCP (either super heay 63.5kg or standard 8kg) to CBR. I've done my own correlation now, using various tables which correlate SPT data, CBR data and various dynamic probe ranges from on to another, so answers now would be mainly for my own interest & future projects.

CBR data is required for an earthworks project.

Thanks
