When I insert an image on a part using a BMP file I can see it fine (it's still just a sketch). But if I try to use that image for a decal it just turns grey. What's wrong?

Also... Do I have to use BMP files to be able to place an image on a part? Can a JPG file be used?

Thanks

Yes a jpeg can be used, can you pack n go the file and post it?

I tried a JPG but it just shows up grey... no image.

I have stumbled across a similar problem. Anytime I insert an image into Inventor (no matter .idw, .ipt, etc..) the image never shows. Instead it looks like an icon with the file name underneath it.

Is this what is happening to you?

Nope...Paint is my default (I just double checked) and it is still doing the same thing.

How do I post a screenshot?

Problem solved...It's in the registry.

Thanks.
