Define a Flow Meter in HYSYS

Dear all

I am doing pressure loss calculation using HYSYS. I want to determine the pressure drop in control valve and Flow meters in the piping.

I need to know if adding orifice plate in HYSYS simulation is possible or not?
And if possible how to add it and what are the parameters needed to solve it?

Can anyone help me work this out?

It not the best suited software for this. However, HYSYS has an orifive model in the valve i think. Use the (defualt i think) value for a PSV calculation for the correction factor (around 0.62-0.65 i think)

Thank you for your comment, i am still a bit blur with this.

an orifice plate will contribute to pressure loss,so i want to know is there any way to define this item in HYSYS. i have built the piping system but have not got any idea about thw orifice plate

Use the valve but change the model. Can't check Hysys but I think you can do that.
