Deformation of a sandwich by Ansys

Hello ANSYS forum,
I try to simulate the sandwich model of Torsakul's work for weeks (publications.rwth-aachen.de/record/61754/files/Torsakul_Sirichai.pdf),
Since his model is identical to mine is just another material.

He has calculated the deformation and tension using the APDL, and compared with experimental and analytical solution, it has worked.

Now I come to my question: I have modeled the model as 1/4 model, because I can save calculation time

But I have different deformation than what is prescribed in his work.

With a force of 100 N, my deformation shows a result of 1.1496 mm and with it 0.295 mm

I sent Photos of my Simulation in Appendix to show my results

Can someone please help me with my work please.

PS: On pages 109 and 120, its deformation results

Recommended for you

Solid elements are not very suitable for modeling thin structures. Using only one solid element though the thickness
might lead to erraneous bending behaviour. You should at least run your model with refined mesh (especially in the thickness
direction) and see how the results change.
 
You can absolutely model all three layers with solid elements. You just have to refine mesh in the thickness direction for
the top and bottom layers to see that mesh is converging.

is a deviation of 8% between experiment and FEM poor?
